BELLE PLAINE, Iowa- A woman in her 30s and an eight-year- old boy were found dead at a train crossing in eastern Iowa's Benton County early yesterday (Friday) morning.
Police in Belle Plaine were called to the crossing just before 5 o'clock in the morning.
The names of the woman and the boy are not being released (as of Friday night). Authorities are calling the deaths "suspicious." The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting with the case.
Union Pacific Railroad is cooperating with the investigation.
