Ft. Dodge Casey's robbed

On May 14th, 2018 at 5:15am, the Webster County Telecommunication Center received a 911 call from Casey’s at 1230 3rd Ave NW, indicating that they had just been robbed. Fort Dodge Police along with the Webster County Sheriff’s Dept responded to the scene where they learned that a male presented the cashier with a written note demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount, the male ran out of the store heading West. Law enforcement did a thorough search for the suspect in the surrounding area, but was unable to locate him. The suspect is described as a taller white male, with short brown hair, wearing a dark cloth mask to cover his face, dark sweatshirt, grey or dark pants and black shoes/boots.

At this time, Webster County Crime Stoppers is offering a $500 reward for specific information that leads to the capture of this suspect. Anyone with information is urged to make contact with Fort Dodge Police Detective Larry Hedlund.
