Decorah, Iowa eaglets nearly full grown

DECORAH, Iowa-   Three eaglets hatched this season in Decorah continue to thrive.   Mom continues to arrive with meals, but is leaving the eaglets alone for longer periods of time, perching nearby.

Experts with the Raptor Resource Project say the eaglets will continue arranging sticks, playing tug-a-war with siblings, holding things in talons, and stretch their wings.    Feet and beaks are nearly full-size and growth is nearly 90-percent.

The eaglets may begin to self-feed soon.
