Huisentruit billboards up in Mason City, Iowa

MASON CITY, Iowa-    A website devoted to solving the disappearance of TV anchor Jodi Huisentruit is sponsoring several billboards in Mason City.   Those behind the effort are hoping the campaign will generate some clues in the woman's disappearance in June of 1995.

Huisentruit had been on her way to work at a Mason City TV station, when she went missing.   She was declared legally dead in 2001.  The four billboards will be in place through the end of June.

The website is www.FindJodi.com, co-founded by Josh Benson, who issued a statement

“Here we are for another anniversary of Jodi’s disappearance. Someone knows what happened. And we have to continue to find ways to reach people. We’ve never tried billboards before – and felt this is a good way to saturate Mason City with our message and reach out to those who may know something."

The website states family and friends plan to gather June 5th in Mason City and in her hometown of Long Prairie, Minnesota, to mark what would have been Huisentruit's 50th birthday.
