DES MOINES, Iowa- Des Moines police are investigating the death of 17-year-old Tyrese Robert Parson of a Des Moines as a homicide. Parson was found dead of a gunshot wound on a sidewalk at 6:30 this (Friday) morning in the 800 block of East 27th Court.
Des Moines Police Department detectives are talking to witnesses and looking at evidence.
The Des Moines Police Department Crime Scene Investigation Unit has completed their evidence gathering at the scene, and streets in the area have reopened.
This is Des Moines' 5th homicide this year.
