DES MOINES, Iowa - Strong storms moved through Iowa this morning from north to south, producing heavy rain and large hail.

The heaviest rain cut a diagonal path from the Northwest through Central Iowa.

But after the noon hour the rain will end and it'll turn extremely hot and humid.  WHO TV Channel 13 Meteorologist Amber Alexander says the dew point temperatures will be around 70° for Friday and into the weekend, with temperatures in the middle 90s.

The heat and humidity combined will raise the heat index values to 100° to 105°.
