Fred Hubbell says he's picked a Wheatland, Iowa state senator to be his running-mate.
Senator Rita Hart is a Clinton County resident, farmer and assistant Democratic party leader in the Iowa Senate.
In an email to supporters, Hubbell says that Senator Hart, "has dedicated her life to serving and fighting for her community."
Her selection required approval at Saturday's State Democratic Party convention in Des Moines.
