DES MOINES, Iowa- Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds plans to tour flooded areas of Iowa Saturday. Disaster declarations have now been issued for 18-Iowa counties.
Friday, Reynolds received an update on flooding as well as the Lyon County Iowa derailment, and oil spill during a meeting at the Iowa Emergency Operations Center at Camp Dodge in Johnston.
Eight agencies took part in Friday's meeting, the Department of Public Safety; the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management; the Iowa National Guard; the Department of Public Health; the Department of Transportation; the Department of Corrections; the Department of Human Services; and the Department of Natural Resources.
Disaster declarations have been issued for the following counties: Allamakee, Bremer, Cerro Gordo, Chickasaw, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Floyd, Hamilton, Howard, Kossuth, Lyon, O'Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Scott, Story, and Winneshiek
