The future of Iowa's Interstate rest stops

The Iowa Department of Transportation is considering closing some interstate rest stops and parking sites.

The D-O-T's Andrea Henry tells WHO Radio News, the plan could save the state about $30 million over twenty years.

They have done a study to determine how the needs of interstate travelers have changed over the years with a goal to provide a rest area system that meets the needs of today's travelers, while saving the state millions.
