A run from police ends in a Davenport death

A man is dead after an eastern Iowa chase with State Patrol Saturday morning.

Troopers got a call about a reckless driver in Clinton County.

After locating the car, troopers pursued the vehicle to the Davenport Airport where they say the driver went through the airport gates and crashed into a fuel tank.

The car caught fire and troopers say the man later died.

His identity is not being released at this time.

On Saturday night in western Iowa, a Northboro man died when Iowa State Patrol says a semi failed to stop at an intersection and broad-sided the vehicle in which 62 year old Terrance Rolf was riding.

His wife, who was driving, and the trucker were both injured in the crash on Highway 59 in Fremont County.
