The San Antonio Zoo has taken up saving the dwindling population of giraffes in the world with a GoFundMe page and an effort to get people aware of the decline of the animal.
In a different realm, Toys "R" Us mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe went viral on the last day of the store's existence when a photo showed him with a suitcase preparing to leave an empty store for the last time.
After that occurrence last week, the San Antonio Zoo is using Geoffrey's heightened celebrity status to turn that attention to their efforts to save the giraffes, as explained in this YouTube video:
