Vice President Pence makes pitch for tariffs in Cedar Rapids

Vice President Mike Pence came to Cedar Rapids Wednesday to make a pitch in favor of tariffs.

Pence spoke at Rockwell Collins, where he said that "for too long" countries have imposed tariffs or other restrictions on US goods-especially agricultural goods-while imports into the US have had no restrictions.

Pence says the Trump administration will work hard to ensure that there's a "level playing field" for US goods and services.

The Vice President was accompanied by two Republicans seeking re-election: Governor Kim Reynolds and Congressman Rod Blum.
