Whenever you get to a high school state tournament, all the athletes lay it all on the line to have the shot at a championship.
That was never more apparent than earlier this week when Wilton and Denver played in the quarterfinals in Class 2A and Wilton's Cory Anderson rounded third base looking to score. Check out the hit he lays on the Denver catcher:

That hurt. The run counted and made a huge difference as Wilton advanced with a 3-2 victory. Wilton was ultimately knocked out of the tourney in the semifinals by Centerville.
