Mayor Joel Greer tells WHO Radio's Jeff Angelo the state response for help has been remarkable.
He adds, the clean-up process has gone well and yet there is still so much left to do.
The city has three established funds now; one for rebuilding the downtown main street... one for rebuilding homes, and a fund for helping displaced residents.
Many have been sleeping in what's left of their homes - and in some cases, their vehicles.
