DES MOINES, Iowa - Iowa's tax-free holiday weekend is today and tomorrow, Friday and Saturday August 3 and 4.
Just in time for back-to-school shopping, certain clothing, shoes, and school supplies are tax exempt for two days only.
The list includes work and school uniforms, diapers, and coats under $100 per item.Sandals, hiking boots and cowboy boots under $100 per item, but not including shoes with spikes or cleats.
Other items that are not tax exempt includes backpacks, athletic uniforms, watches, wallets, umbrellas, and sporting equipment.
