WAPELLO COUNTY, Iowa- Two men are charged with six counts of attempted murder, after a shoot-out with Ottumwa Police Friday, August 3rd.
The Iowa Department of Public Safety says 32-year-old Michael Bibby and Dalton Cook (pictured) are also charged with burglary and robbery.
Authorities say Bibby and Cook, both of Ottumwa, and a third man, David White of Fairfield, broke into a home at 831 S. Lillian Street, intending to steel items. White was killed, Bibby was injured and Cook was caught after a manhunt that lasted several hours. One person at the burglarized home was shot, but is expected to be okay.
