The Westcom Emergency Communications Center reported around 10:25 pm Tuesday night that there is a possible 911 outage in the area.
Westcom serves the cities of Clive, Norwalk, Urbandale, Waukee and West Des Moines.
They say that CenturyLink reported the outage, which is not expected to affect cell phones. If you're trying to reach police fire or EMS and can't get through in those cities, you're asked to call 911 from a mobile phone or dial 515-222-3321.
