Pair charged in Des Moines man's death

JASPER COUNTY, Iowa- The Jasper County Sheriff's Office has charged two people  in the death of a Des Moines man June 22nd of this year.

Fifty-year-old Jeffrey Stendrup and 24-year-old Jaycie Sheeder are both charged with First Degree Murder in the death of Jeremy McDowell.  Stendrup and Sheeder are being held in the Jasper County Jail.

McDowell's body was found in the back of a vehicle in Newton, Iowa June 22nd.  July 5th Deputies arrested Stendrup in Clive on robbery charges.   Sheeder was also arrested that day, in Coon Rapids, and charged with Accessory to a Felony.
