Ottumwa, Iowa man facing additional Attempted Murder charge

OTTUMWA, Iowa-  An Ottumwa man, charged with Murder and Attempted Murder, is now facing an additional Attempted Murder charge. 

Ottumwa Police say 18-year-old Jacob Heckethorn is accused of shooting 61-year-old Clifford Collette Senior August 16th, at 311 North Birch Street.   

Collette is recovering from his injuries.    

Heckthorn is also charged with Murder and Attempted Murder from an incident August 23rd, on Ward Street in Ottumwa, in which a man was shot and died of his injuries.  

Heckethorn is in the Wapello County Jail, on no bond.
