Maestro Joseph Giunta joined Van and Bonnie in the WHO Radio Studio this morning to chat about the new Des Moines Symphony Season that starts this weekend. Leonard Bernstein was one of Joe's teachers, so this weekend, the season will open with Leonard Bernstein's Candide Overture. They will also perform Beethoven's "Emperor Concerto" and Mahler's "The Titan". Performances are Saturday night at 7:30PM and Sunday at 2:30PM. Tickets available at www.DMSymphony.org.
