Check your freezer: USDA orders ground beef made in June recalled

Iowans are being asked to check any ground beef they may have frozen.

One person died and 17 people were ill after e.coli bacteria was found a meat processed by Cargill Meat Solutions and packaged on June 21st.  

The US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service is worried that many people may have frozen the product when they got home.  They're advising people to check ground beef made from chuck that was purchased from Aldi's stores in several states, including Iowa and Illinois, Target stores nationwide and Sam's Club nationwide.

A recall of the ground beef affects those by Cargill Meat Solutions packaged on June 21st.  They have the number "EST 86R" printed inside the USDA inspection mark.

The affected products are:
