UPDATE: Des Moines Police say the victim was a 28 year old Des Moines man. He was found seated in a parked vehicle. That vehicle was also occupied by a 25 year old Des Moines woman and two children under ten years of age.
The victim's name isn't being released until relatives are notified.

Shots rang out on Des Moines' east side Sunday, and a man is dead.
Des Moines police say they were called about 1:17pm to the 12 hundred block of East 13th Street.
When police and rescue units arrived, they found one man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital and has since died.
Officers cordoned off the area and began interviewing witnesses.
The victim's identity wasn't immediately released.
