Des Moines, -- A small afterhours fire sent billows of smoke through the Partnership building in downtown Des Moines, sending firefighters rushing to the building.
It happened around 6:25pm at the building, between 7th and 8th Streets on Locust Avenue. Des Moines Firefighters say a small oven fire was quickly contained. But it sent lots of smoke through the building's venilation system and into adjoining offices.
Firefighters and building officials were working to ensure the smoke was pulled out of the building and that the fire alarms were reset.
