BLUE GRASS, Iowa - A 13-year-old Iowa girl is being held by police, accused of leading officers on a 100-mile-per-hour police chase in a stolen van.
Police in Blue Grass, a town in eastern Iowa were called by neighbors who reported a van load of teens appeared to be breaking into cars.
When officers got there, they say the van took off and the officers chased after, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles an hour before stop sticks blew the van tires.
Police say inside the van they found five kids ages 13 to 15 including the 13-year-old girl who was driving, plus one 18-year-old.
Three police cruisers were damaged during the chase.
