DES MOINES, Iowa – Des Moines police are investigating after a man was shot with a shotgun early this morning near Evelyn Davis Park.
Police say the shooting happened just after 1:30 am on the 1300 block of 13th Place.
WHO Channel 13 reports the victim was walking along the street when he was confronted by a black male who thought he was too close to his apartment. Police say the victim was shot once and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police have identified a suspect, but they have made no arrests yet.
