Ames Middle School principal suspended

AMES, Iowa - Ames Middle School has suspended its principal over concerns of bullying on campus.

According to KCRG-TV, district spokesman Eric Smidt says it wasn't a single incident that led to the move away from Dan Fox.  He says it was more about improving the school as a whole.

In an email to parents last week, the district told parents that added measures would be taken to ensure the best environment possible for teaching and learning.

Fox still works for Ames Community School District and is being paid while on suspension.
