Waukee, Iowa School Chief Operating Officer arrested

WAUKEE, Iowa-   The Chief Operating Officer of the Waukee School District has been arrested and booked into the Dallas County Jail.   Fifty-year-old Eric Rose turned himself into authorities around 7 o'clock this (Saturday)  morning.   His attorney, Grant Woodard tells WHO Radio News Rose has been charged with two counts of solicitation to commit a felony and one count of felonious misconduct in office.  Bond was set at $15,000.  He posted bond and was released.

"Mr. Rose denies all the allegations and we'll be waging a vigorous defense and he looks forward to his day in court,  to be exonerated of these false allegations," said Woodard.

Rose had been put on  paid administrative leave after a state audit recently identified $130,000 in questionable spending on district retreats and office furniture.

The Waukee School Board plans to meet early Monday morning to consider the employment status of Rose.
