DES MOINES, Iowa - A robber apologized after holding-up a convenience store clerk at gunpoint on Christmas Day, according to Des Moines police.

Investigators say the man walked into the Git n Go at 1307 Army Post Road on the city's south side just before 11 a.m. on Christmas Day, waved a handgun, and demanded the clerk open the safe and give him money.

Then, they say, the suspect apologized to the clerk for robbing her on Christmas, took her cell phone, and walked out.
