DES MOINES, Iowa - In just under two weeks, the Iowa state legislature convenes, and there's plenty of priorities lawmakers want to work on.

Governor Kim Reynolds's Future Ready Iowa program hopes to push 70-percent of workers' training and education beyond high school in six years.

Right now only 58-percent meet or surpass that mark.

Other topics include, cutting taxes, balancing the budget and expanding mental health care services.

Last year, Gov. Reynolds signed House File 2456, which will add six regional access centers for people who need mental health care but not hospitalization.
