WASHINGTON COUNTY, Nebraska- A wild turkey smashed into a deputy's windshield this week, leaving the deputy and a prisoner being transported with cuts from flying glass.
The Washington County deputy's cruiser crossed paths with a turkey going 62 miles-per-hour, causing the bird to smash through the windshield.
A department Facebook post reads, "We have a very lucky deputy today." Both the deputy and prisoner suffered minor cuts due to the flying glass.
