Shooting incident puts Harding Middle School on lockdown

Harding Middle School on East Euclid in Des Moines was put on lockdown for a time this afternoon after a shooting incident blocks away.

Police were called after a shooting incident took place around 2:20pm in the area of 3rd Street and Douglas Avenue.  One witness reports it sounded like the person shooting "emptied a whole clip" of ammunition in firing at a vehicle.

So far police say they don't have any suspects in the case and noone has reported they were injured in the incident.  

The middle school was several blocks away and students weren't injured.
