POLK COUNTY, Iowa - A burning barn in Runnells had fire crews from several areas busy this morning.
The call came in just before 5:30 about a large fire near southeast Vandalia Drive and southeast 80th Street.
There could be injuries to livestock that were being housed at the barn.
Because the building is so rural, water had to be trucked in to fight the fire.
WHO Channel 13 reports fire crews from Runnells, Mitchelville, Pleasant Hill and Altoona all assisted.
