Davenport, Iowa - Roads are expected to be treacherous in the Quad Cities today, with snow and ice covered roads. The National Weather Service Quad Cities office has issued a Winter Storm Warning today, that remains in effect into the evening.
Scattered snow showers will combine with a strong wind gusting to 45 mph to create near whiteout conditions for brief periods.
The strong winds could also result in downed tree limbs.
WOC Radio News reports that utility crews headed towards the Quad Cities area this morning to back up local crews in case of power outages from downed power lines.
