DES MOINES, Iowa - Another snow storm is coming Tuesday night to Wednesday with Central Iowa again in the bulls-eye for 6-8 inches of snow.
After more than 9 inches last weekend, many people are asking one question: "Where do we put it all?"
The City of Des Moines has opened a former landfill off SE 14 Street and is dumping snow there, according to City Public Works Director Jonathan Gano.
Des Moines may break a record with the additional snow this week. The old record was 43.5 inches of snow that fell in 40 days in Des Moines in 1912. So far, we've had 37.4 inches of snow since January 11. The snow expected this Tuesday night into Wednesday would set a new record.
