A fun evening for a great cause

Help raise money for a new Ag building at the Jackson County Fairgrounds and hear about the amazing experiences of FarmHer founder, Marji Guyler-Alaniz, when she comes to the Pearson Memorial Center on the Jackson County Fairgrounds on March 24, 2019 from 4:30-8:00PM.

The evening will consist of a delicious catered meal, silent auction full of unique items, quilt raffle, photo contest, and more! There will be something fun for everyone in the family!

Guyler-Alaniz will speak about her show on RFD-TV, FarmHer, how she got to where she is today, and her adventures traveling around the country. Her energy and enthusiasm is sure to spark your interest and introduce you to an entirely new side of agriculture, while still holding on to the same fundamentals that hold true throughout the agricultural industry.

Kids will love Guyler-Alaniz’s presentation full of bright and beautiful pictures, husbands and dads will devour the delicious food and one-of-a-kind silent auction items, and wives and mothers will enjoy the photos of women in agriculture, FarmHer gear, and the beautiful quilt that is being raffled off. This is truly a family friendly event that will put a smile on everyone’s faces.

Tickets for the event are $25 in advance ($30 at the door) and can be purchased online at here or at any of these local businesses: Jackson County Fair Office, Jackson County Extension Office, Cornelius Seed, Bellevue State Bank, Fidelity Bank and all Maquoketa State Bank locations.

There will also be a photo contest and if you'd like to participate please have your photos at the Pearson Memorial Center (Jackson County Fairgrounds) by 4:00PM on March 24th. The two divisions are photos featuring women in agriculture and photos featuring agriculture. The minimum size of the image is 5x7 and the maximum size is 11x14. Together We Build is hosting An Evening with FarmHer to help support their efforts in raising money for the new Jackson County Fair & Extension/4-H Outreach Center. The Outreach Center will allow for the expansion of educational and training programs for youth and adults and will benefit agriculture as well as the businesses, communities and families of Jackson County.
