COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - The murder trial of Jason Carter continues with jury selection in Council Bluffs.
Attorneys are hoping to reach the number 14 on Thursday, the 12 primary jurors and two alternates.
Jurors in Pottawattamie County know less about the case given the distance between there and Marion County.
But they do know Shirley Carter was shot to death in June 2015 and that her son, Jason Carter, is accused of pulling the trigger.
According to WHO Channel 13, opening statements will begin following jury selection.
