DES MOINES, Iowa - There is widespread flooding in Western Iowa into Eastern and Central Nebraska, and extending into North Central Iowa and again in Northeastern Iowa through Southern and Eastern Wisconsin.
The heavy snowpack up north is still melting, running into streams and rivers, and flooding is expected to continue to worsen.

Some of the worst flooding right now is along the Missouri River on the Iowa - Nebraska border.
In Iowa, many rivers are still rising from snow melt up north. The Mississippi River on the eastern Iowa border may have historic flooding this spring as heavy snow pack melts rapidly up on Minnesota and Wisconsin and the runoff pours into the Mississippi River.
