I've had my greyhounds for almost four years and since they were racers, they have a full pedigree and more documented details about their time as a puppy than most dogs.
That information includes their exact birth date, so my wife and I try really hard to do something new and special for them on their birthdays.
My black greyhound's name is Emma, and over the weekend she turned six years old (my other one is a fawn colored hound named Jagger and he's 10). Whenever one of them celebrates, we all celebrate.
We decided to take them to the pet store to pick out their own treat from the shelf. They are tall so they can reach pretty much anything, including antlers, rawhides, pig ears, etc.
Well, they both honed in on one weird item: a dehydrated beef trachea. Take a look at their excitement:
