Dogs found shot, dumped in Raccoon River northwest of Des Moines REWARD

DALLAS COUNTY, Iowa - Sheriff's Deputies are investigating after dogs were found shot and thrown into the Raccoon River northwest of Des Moines.

Investigators say the dogs were found in garbage bags in the river near Dawson earlier this month.

The Animal rescue League of Iowa and the Dallas County Sheriff's Office are offering a one-thousand dollar reward in the case.

Detectives are hoping someone will recognize the dogs and identify the suspects.
