For some people their job may be a chore, but that’s certainly not the case for one UPS driver in New Orleans. While we may always think of dogs being a problem for folks making deliveries, it’s pretty apparent that for driver Jason Hardesty, those four legged friends are the highlight of his work day.
For the past two years, Hardesty has gotten a chance to meet a slew of adorable dogs on his route and has taken the time out to snap pictures with the pups, posting them to his Instagram account, which currently has over 43,000 followers. Jason says he started to take the photos after his route changed to a younger neighborhood, with friendlier dogs.
His account started to go viral thanks to author Jami Attenberg, who tweeted about him, writing, "I have extremely important news and it is this: my sweet UPS guy has a hashtag of all the dogs in the neighborhood,” which was enoug to bring him “10,000 followers in 48 hours.”
Jason tells Buzzfeed News that visiting the dogs on his route makes both him and the dog owners happy, noting, "They love the fact that their dog loves me and I love them.” Check out some of the photos below.
