DES MOINES, Iowa - The threat of severe weather remains for Wednesday afternoon into the evening in much of Iowa.
The main concerns are from large hail and damaging winds, although an isolated tornado remains possible.
The storms are expected to move east quickly and exit central Iowa by late evening. The highest risk is in Central Iowa, South Central Iowa, East Central Iowa and the Southeast.
Cooler air will then move into the state and increasing northwest winds on Thursday.
