I reported to you on my show that the speed camera debate in the Iowa Legislature is dead once again this year. The issue THIS YEAR is the same as previously: the Iowa Senate wants to ban speed cameras; the Iowa House wants to only regulate them. Imagine that you are an Iowa Senator who voted for BANNING cameras. Any compromise that allows them doesn't feel like a compromise - you want them GONE. So - no compromise. And the cameras remain.
That said, I wonder: what state is most likely to ticket you for speeding? Is it Iowa.
24/7 Wall Street has now come out with their list of the states where you’re most likely to get a speeding ticket, looking at how many tickets were issued per 10,000 people living in a state.
Based on these calculations Wyoming is the state where you’re most likely to get a speeding ticket, with the state issuing about 903.45 per 10,000 people each year, followed by South Carolina, which issues about 824.95.
