DES MOINES, Iowa- A Des Moines man in an I-235 crash about 1:40 p.m. Saturday has died of his injuries. Police say 81-year-old John Severino Senior was traveling east on I-235, near Polk Boulevard, when he lost control and crossed several lanes of traffic. Police say Severino's car hit one vehicle before leaving the road, and hitting a concrete wall. Police say Severino was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car.
Police say Severino was transported to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in critical condition and died Sunday night.
