ARL Responds Second Cat-Hoarding Case in a Week

DES MOINES, Iowa-- For the second time in a week, Animal rescue officials found two dozen cats and kittens living in poor conditions in a home on Des Moines' south side. The animals were taken to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. ARL officials say the unidentified owner faces charges. They say the person faced past animal-related charges. Just a week ago, ARL saved 26 cats from a one-bedroom apartment in Des Moines. Investigators said a woman, who was in the process of being evicted, threw cats out a window before being arrested.
