Three children killed named, ISP says car making illegal U-turn on I-80

OXFORD, Iowa - Three children are now confirmed dead after a car making an illegal u-turn on Interstate 80 was broadsided by a semi.

The Iowa State Patrol says three of four children in the car were killed, all are from Cedar Rapids. They are identified as 11-year-old Oneimus Quaterman, 12-year-old Adaess Adams, and 12-year-old Braden Brown.

A fourth child, 11-year-old Mason Brown is at University of Iowa Hospitals.

ISP says the driver of the car, 62-year-old Terrance Joe Edwards tried to make a u-turn on an I-80 median west of Iowa City, near Oxford Sunday afternoon around 1:00 p.m. According to the State Patrol crash report, Edwards was in the right lane, slowed down, and made a left in front of a semi, and was broadsided.

There's no word on Edwards' and Brown's conditions.
