I love that food companies have figured out that a great way to generate publicity and sales is to introduce new flavors. Oreo is especially good at this: this summer, Oreo is bringing back s'mores Oreos and introducing "Latte," "Marshmellow Moon," "Mint Chocolate Chip," and "Maple Cream." You'll also recall that Oreos generated quite a bit of publicity over releasing a mystery flavor.
Now Pringles is getting into the act.
It’s always fun when our favorite chip brands come out with a new flavor and Pringles has a new one hitting Walgreens, but we have no idea what flavor it is. That’s because this one is the Mystery Flavor and Pringles will pay you $10,000 if you can correctly figure it out.
This is the first time they’ve done a Mystery Flavor in the U.S., but last year Pringles dropped one in Canada that ended up being Seven Layer Dip flavor. You can snap up some of the Mystery Flavor Pringles at Walgreens through July 30th and to make sure you have plenty of time to nail the answer, they’re giving you until August 13th to submit your guess online and they’ll announce the winner on August 18th.
Some of their past limited-edition flavors include Jalapeño Bacon and Jamaican Jerk, so you’re going to have to think outside the box with this one.
