MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa - An 8-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car after school in Marshalltown.
Police say Christian Maxon is a 2nd grader at Franklin Elementary, and was crossing the street at West Main near 13th on his way home from school when he was hit by a turning car.
Maxon was flown to Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, where he died from his injuries.
Police say 71-year-old Marilyn Diggs was driving the car.
