I-29 In Western Iowa has reopened

AMES, Iowa -- Interstate 29 in Western Iowa between Omaha and Council Bluffs is open again. The Iowa Department of Transportation says lanes of I-29 between I-680 near Crescent to the Nebraska border are open. Traffic won't be allowed to continue north of I-680 on I-29. The interstate has been closed since late May due to flooding in the area for a second time this spring. The DOT says there was minimal damage from that second round of flooding. Other segments of I-29, as well as U.S. 34, Iowa 2, Iowa 275 and Iowa 333 are still closed.
