DES MOINES, Iowa - A thunderstorm complex across eastern Nebraska is expected to move across central and southern Iowa Friday morning, bringing a chance for severe storms to the area this morning, with additional thunderstorms possible into late Friday afternoon and tonight.
The chances for additional storms this afternoon into this evening is somewhat conditional as to how much the atmosphere remains unstable.
Large hail, damaging winds and even a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Locally heavy rainfall also possible. Additional rounds of storms and severe weather can be expected into Saturday and Sunday.
