It was off to the East for Day #2 of the 23rd WHO Radio Great Iowa Tractor Ride:
What a beautiful and unique mural of the then and now, and one thing that is definatly true of Tractor Ride is there is a lot of unique:
The lunch stop today was undeniably perfect, the 1880:
It really is a step back in time, a hidden gem, complete with an old-fashioned blacksmith shop:
It was a hot place to say the least but they had a solution under this square cut out of the floor:
It's nice and cool 5 feet underground, so they buried a pipe for their...uhhhh...beverages:
Of course, all of this history has Andy hard at work trying to pass it on to everyone:
While Kat and the folks from The Machine Shed were keeping everyone fed with a scrumptious meal:
The uniqueness of the 1880 Carstens Memorial Farmstead make it the perfect fit because Tractor Ride features several unique tractors:
Then it was back to Westfair Ampitheatre for some great local music from the very talented Pony Creek:
To go along with the mouth-watering grilled pork tenderloin sandwhiches from Mike Dorman and our friends at Graham Tire:
It's hard to believe Tractor Ride wraps up this morning yet there have been so many wonderful memories made and relationships formed. Thank you for making it such a wonderful day!
